saint something, france – november 28

this was the night after paris.
way up in brittany. ‘french cowboy’ will open tonight, which has eric on drums who has married a tucson girl.

i walk around a bit on my own today. head to the sea front, which is always tide manipulated here at the edge of the continent. its good to feel the chilled soft rain.

the venue is located in an impossible structure. its obvious it had something to do with world war 2.
later it is revealed that the immense concrete building (between 1.5 and 8 meters thick in places) was used to hide nazi U-boats during the german occupation. and also that the subs had to hide in this gigantic garage for the last year of the war, which in itself seems impossible.

but tonight we play music here in this submarine crypt.
it’s a good night. good people. the end.
